Stone Island’s Ghost aesthetic meets the 574, a subtle, premium collab that delivers steady £100 profit margins.
JJJJound and New Balance returned with another collaboration in August 2026, this time applying JJJJound's understated design language to the more affordable New Balance 740N silhouette in the “Mushroom” colourway.
The biggest attraction from a resale perspective was the £120 UK retail price. Previous JJJJound x New Balance collaborations had often started from considerably higher price points, so using the cheaper 740N created much more room for percentage-based profit.
The US release provided an encouraging early signal, with pairs reportedly selling for more than £200 on StockX and eBay before the UK drop. UK stock was also rumoured to be around 200 pairs, adding scarcity to an already established collaboration.
That demand continued through August, with secondary-market sales ranging from around £150 to as high as £200, depending on size and platform. At the upper end, successful buyers were looking at more than £100 gross profit from the £120 retail price.
The £120 retail price was considerably cheaper than many previous JJJJound x New Balance releases, leaving more room for profit.
US pairs were already selling above £200 before the UK release, providing an encouraging early indication of secondary demand.
UK 9 and above were the recommended sizes, with stronger sales reaching as high as £250+ across secondary platforms.
At £200 resale, a retail pair offered up to £80 gross profit before selling fees and other costs.

JJJJound launched the 740N “Mushroom” through its own platform, establishing the first secondary-market prices ahead of the wider New Balance release.

New Balance released the collaboration more widely for £120 in the UK, giving buyers another opportunity to secure pairs at retail.

Following the New Balance release, attention shifted to secondary platforms where the earlier US performance above £200 provided a strong benchmark for UK pairs.

Sales had continued throughout August at up to approximately £200+, leaving the strongest £120 retail pairs with more than £80 gross profit potential.

The JJJJound x New Balance 740N “Mushroom” worked because it combined a proven collaboration with an unusually accessible £120 entry price.
Rather than needing a huge resale price to produce a worthwhile return, even a £180 sale represented a healthy spread over retail. Stronger transactions approaching £200 pushed the potential gross margin beyond £80+.
The reported low UK stock also helped. If the allocation was indeed around 200 pairs, there simply was not much supply available to satisfy collectors who missed the initial release.
Most importantly, this was not purely a release-day spike. Sales continued throughout August, which provided a healthier signal of genuine secondary demand.
For buyers who secured the stronger sizes, particularly UK 9+, the combination of £120 retail, limited supply and sales reaching £200–£250 made this one of the cleaner sneaker opportunities of the month.
