The Disney and Pixar Cars Lightning McQueen Dinoco Crocs were released on 16 September 2026, bringing back one of Crocs' most recognisable character collaborations in a new Dinoco Blue colourway. Crocs confirms the Dinoco design, spoiler-equipped backstrap and product SKU 213582, while secondary-market data identifies the full style code as 213582-90H.

HOR highlighted the UK release at £75, targeting £110+ resale and recommending UK 9+ as the sizes to prioritise. The original Lightning McQueen Crocs had developed a strong resale following, so expectations were naturally high for the Dinoco version.

The biggest variable was stock. Unlike an ultra-limited sneaker release, resale depended heavily on how many pairs Crocs and Foot Locker brought to market. That made this a 2/5 risk flip, helped considerably by the retailers' return options.

There was genuine secondary-market activity after launch too. StockX now records 603 sales over the past three months, with a very wide historical range of $76 to $542, demonstrating demand while also showing how heavily performance could vary by size and timing.

Breaking Down the Flip

The Lightning McQueen Dinoco Crocs were released on 16 September 2026, with HOR's UK retail price set at £75.

HOR targeted £110+ resale, creating approximately £35 gross upside from the £75 entry price before fees.

UK 9+ sizes were the recommended focus, with resale performance expected to depend heavily on overall stock levels.

Returns helped reduce downside risk, making this a relatively safer punt if resale prices weakened after release.

Final Thoughts

The £75 to £110+ target gave this release approximately £35 gross upside per pair before fees, with larger sizes the main focus. More importantly, the established popularity of the original Lightning McQueen Crocs gave the Dinoco version a proven collector audience rather than relying purely on launch-day sneaker hype.

Stock was always the deciding factor. Heavy availability could quickly compress margins, while tighter supply in desirable sizes could support stronger resale. The availability of returns helped keep the initial risk relatively low.

For that reason, HOR's 2/5 risk rating made sense: worth the punt at retail, particularly in UK 9+, but not something to chase above retail without first checking how much stock remained in the market.
