The 2025-26 Topps Definitive Basketball Hobby Box was one of the highest-value opportunities House of Resell monitored during September, with the Fanatics London EQL raffle offering boxes at an eye-watering £7,130.
This was a premium product built around quality rather than quantity. Each box contained just one pack of eight cards, including six on-card autographs, with major chases including Cooper Flagg, Dylan Harper and Kon Knueppel alongside established stars such as LeBron James, Stephen Curry and Nikola Jokić.
The Fanatics London EQL raffle opened on 16 September 2026 at 12 PM and closed at 4 PM the same day. Crucially, entering did not require members to immediately commit £7,130. A £0 hold was used to validate the card, with successful entrants required to pay in store if they chose to collect.
That structure shaped the HOR strategy. Members could enter first, assess the secondary market if selected, and then decide whether committing more than £7,000 to a single no-return product made sense.
The market ultimately provided strong evidence. Updated eBay results supplied from September showed boxes at £10,086.70, £13,159.85 and £13,176.66, including a factory-sealed in-hand result on 24 September.
Fanatics London offered the premium Topps Definitive Basketball Hobby Box at £7,130, with payment only required if successful entrants collected.
A supplied eBay result on 20 September showed a box selling for £10,086.70, providing clean evidence of a five-figure secondary market.
A factory-sealed in-hand box appeared sold at £13,159.85 on 24 September, although its Best Offer status means the final accepted amount may have been lower.
HOR's strategy was to enter the raffle first and reassess after winning rather than blindly commit £7,130 to a single no-return box.

Another Hobby Box sold for £10,086.70, establishing clearer evidence that buyers were prepared to pay substantially above the £7,130 UK retail price.

A factory-sealed, in-hand box appeared sold at £13,159.85, showing that strong secondary demand continued after physical stock reached sellers.

Topps Definitive was not a conventional low-risk flip. At £7,130 for a single box, the capital requirement was enormous; there were no returns after purchase, and the UK price was already high compared with the US release.
What made the opportunity attractive was the structure of the EQL raffle. Members could enter without paying £7,130 upfront, giving them the chance to reassess the market before deciding whether to collect.
That caution was rewarded by subsequent resale evidence. A box sold for £10,086.70 on 20 September, representing approximately £2,956.70 gross upside before fees. By 24 September, a factory-sealed in-hand box appeared sold at £13,159.85, showing that demand remained strong after physical stock entered the market.
The higher Best Offer results should not be treated as guaranteed realised prices, but they still demonstrate the level at which sellers were attracting buyers. More importantly, the clean £10,086.70 transaction alone was enough to show meaningful room above UK retail.
For HOR members, the strategy was therefore more important than the headline numbers: enter without committing capital, monitor resale if selected, and only put £7,130 into the box when the secondary market justified the risk.
