Rolex Reselling
Contents
If you don't know what Rolex's are, they are super premium watch brand with a great heritage. They are very well respected in the watch industry and are the pinnacle of any watch enthusiast collection.
5 years ago, some higher end Rolex watches were reselling such as limited edition pieces, certain Daytona models and other special releases. They were reselling due the super low supply and the difficulty in actually obtaining the watches. You can only get these models after a great rapport with the authorised dealers and a good account value. Probably £100,000+ account.
Since lockdown, the watch market has exploded. You can walk into a Rolex store now and see there are absolute no Rolex's for sale, not even their "average consumer" watches such as the DateJust models are available. To this day, Rolex manufacturing process still has a human element. Quality > quantity, they know brand image is everything.
Some Rolex models have nicknames given to them by the community. Such as the Pepsi, Batman and more recently, the Sprite (google them).
As history tells us, steel sports, GMTs are the best "investment" pieces for Rolex's. They tend to climb slowly in price after every couple years.
This has given you the background knowledge and overview of the market.

How to obtain highly sought-after watches?
Find your local authorised dealers (AD) on the Rolex website https://www.rolex.com/rolex-dealers/unitedkingdom.html
Visiting the store in person and make a rapport. Do not even bother asking for highly sought after pieces such as Daytonas, Pepsi etc;. You will be wasting their time and your time. Your AD is like walking into sanctuary. Treat them with the upmost respect. I would not even ask for any pieces for the first 2 visits. Go to the store, talk to them and make up a story such as your looking for a watch for your wedding and you always wanted a Rolex etc; Say you are unsure and are researching which one you want and make it obvious you have researched the watch market. Tell them why you want Rolex etc; I would start with a DateJust model.
After you have requested the watch you desire, the chance of you receiving it in the first couple months is highly unlikely unless the AD has taken a shine to you. Continue to visit the store after you have requested the watch. Do not ask, where is my Rolex. Go on and talk to them like a human being. "Hey, was just passing by etc;".
You should hopefully have been "given the call" to go pick up your watch. Usually this takes around 6-12months. This will be a great feeling, something you have not felt before. Go pick up your watch, thank them a lot cause they are doing you a HUGE favour.
Rinse and repeat.
Further Tips Below
ADs sell other pieces aside from Rolex. If you want the more sought after pieces, you need a good rapport with the AD and an good account value. You want around a £30,000 account value before you request a Submariner unless the AD says otherwise. Go for other brands like Tudor, Omega etc;. Having an account with mixed watches from different brands is the AD's dream customer.
Remember, the AD controls what watch you get. Treat them with respect.
Do not annoy them by visiting the store 2 times a week. Think in the ADs shoes.
NEVER SAY YOU ARE FLIPPING THE WATCHES - EVER! YOU WILL BE ON THE BANNED LIST! If you do want to flip your watch go to dealers such as Trotters (search their insta). They will buy it. Do be aware, if you sell your watch and Rolex find out, they will ban you. They find out from looking at the unique serial code on the Rolex card given for each Rolex purchase.
If you get lucky, the AD might say they will supply you with any watch you want and to give them a % on the profits. This will take over a year to happen. Unlikely but still a chance.
